My Favorite Character from the book " Malgudi Days "

Malgudi Days is a collection of short stories which has been written by R.K. Narayan and published in 1943 . It contains stories from an imaginary town called Malgudi.It has a ton of great characters, but my favorite charecter is Ayah.

The character “Ayah” is from the chapter ‘A Willing Slave’. Ayah means nanny in English. Ayah is empathetic as she looks after everyone and is very sincere towards her duty. She is a diligent woman and is very good at multitasking. She at all times stays alert and is a frank person. She also remains contented under all circumstances. Her character inspires me a lot.

Online to offline was a huge transition in every student’s life. The online journey began unexpectedly in the month of March in 2020 and was new for all. At first, students were stressed as they were trapped and were finding it hard to adjust to the new normal. There was no interaction at all. Both the modes are similar to the poles. In offline mode, students have the privilege of getting in touch with teachers and friends, but this is not possible in online mode.  The online mode lasted for almost two years, and most students became accustomed to it. As soon as it was declared by the government that offline mode is compulsory, students found it problematic to re-join school once again. Most parents were happy with this decision. The children had no choice and had to go to school. However, going on the first day changed everything and it felt like it was just like old times.

The Mysterious Person

One fine day, two very bored friends had nothing to do, so they decided to go for a stroll. As they were walking, they heard a feeble voice calling for help. They went to explore the source of the unknown voice. They looked in every nook and cranny of the town, but failed to discover it. So, they decided to go their friend’s house as they were very exhausted. They felt embarrassed and guilty that they could not find or comfort the mysterious person. They decided to go for an investigation the next day. They went to the exact location where they heard the sound and started looking for clues. They looked really hard and located small footprints and followed them. The trail of footprints leads them into a dark and dense forest. The frightened friends thought to give up and end their exploration, but many questions popped into their heads, so as to get the answers, they gathered strength and proceeded the search. Yum, Yum, Yum!   Soo many delectable treats to try! Shall I try burgers or pastas or cakes? I am so confused!? Hmmm….. Are these mouth-watering treats I eat healthy or are they nutrition less food items? They are very unhealthy for me you know, but still my mouth waters whenever I think of having them. I never understand what to do, shall I eat them or shall I not. I usually without thinking just eat them. I think I shall gobble them all. No, no, no!
